grumpy now
so i got a job hostessing (possibly waitressing in the near future) and
i like it but im starting to realize just how much the suburbs
suck. with the exception of a few close friends, i feel really
disconnected and out of my skin. Then there's the fact that
i hate phones and suck at calling or planning things. the people
are nice enough, but bland as hell. they're like unsalted peanuts
with really big, hairy, boring shells. bad metaphor, but if you've ever
had a really hairy, big-shelled unsalted peanut, you'd know what i
mean. ~sigh~ and then there's the fact that you need a car to get
ANYWHERE. and i feel like i'm slipping into this shallow,
consumeristic state. i give up. :-(
