We went to Nakato's 35th anniversary party tonight and met some super amazing sake distributors/musicians. I talked to the staff about an Izakaya night, and they are having a BIERGARTEN/YAKITORI night on Oct. 16! They gave me a rose when I left and every staff member greeted us-- so loved! @_@ they had an amazing spread of slow roasted pork, gigantic chirashi bowl, kabocha stews, and countless appetizers. I had some amazing black rice shoju, red rice unfiltered sake, cedar sake, and about 30 other varieties.
tonight 10 years ago I met the mr on a blind date, we drank red wine on an antique porch beneath bats circling skyscrapers beneath moonlight (aquaknot, that would be Nomenclature), and never parted each others side.
ST VINCENTS NOLA is ON! a double room is about $80, single is $50 (that includes tax)
