I just wrote this and need some feedback

there's a scaffold on your building
with safety nets around it
and workers on the platforms
fixing up the bricks

the building is like you
and the scaffold is like me
the safety nets do nothing
and the workers are bummed out

they are up there on the platforms
but there's no work to be done
but they just like sitting up there
so they won't go home to drink

what I'm saying's that you're perfect
even though it can't be said
because if you really knew it
then it would go right to your head

so I won't even sing this
though it was supposed to be a song
and rather than conclude it
I'll just leave you hanging on
