Happy Australia Day kids!
Well I haven't updated for a while so I suppose it is about time I did. since January 1st till Monday just gone I had only had 3 days off and only 2 were rostered, once I called in sick. So once I spotted my 3 rostered days off I literally jumped up and down and then turned my phone off... NO CALL INS!
Monday was fucked for me. Found out that my beautiful paternal grandmother has not beaten her cancer. My heart is breaking. Decided to quit smoking, except because I am so selfish I got stressed due to bad news and continued to smoke until I bought patches the next morning. Meanwhile, I have not had a cigarette since Monday night on the way home from the Lucky country. Which is fucking awesome for me. You see, even when I suffered chronic tonsilitis I kept smoking. Stupid girl. Just starting to smell things properly. Like I can still smell my perfume a couple of hours after I have put it on, instead of wondering if I had put any on at all 30 minutes after I had. Stupid things like that make me laugh at how stupid I was at high school to think smoking was cool. I told Gran on Tuesday night when I cooked her dinner that I had been wearing a patch all day. She was very pleased. I should also point out that my Gran has never been a smoker and it's not lung cancer. My grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer which has now spread to her bowel and bladder. I still choose to quit. Apart from it being a dirty, vile habit that I have hated forever it is extremely unattractive. So to make sure I don't smoke I have decided to give up the drink too. Cigarettes and alcohol go together for me, as in I usually have one in either hand. So to make sure I don't get pissed and say "One durry wont hurt me", drink is out the picture. So are drugs.
Last night went to Sydney. The plan was "Pancakes on th Rocks". Silly me forgot that today was public holiday so of course the city was packed. We went to Kripsy Kreme instead. Back to work tonight, at least I'm the in the TAB.
