From Cat to Khajiit in a week, just in time for Emerald City Comicon!
With little time, I decided to be a Khajiit from the role-playing game Skyrim -- by just adding armour on top of my Munkustrap costume (with claws and making a different tail) -- as fantasy-based characters tend to be just as common at this convention. I was able to borrow a tunic from a friend, so the challenge was to make the lower fur armour and accessories like the mana potion and sword harness in time. This character was so much fun that I’ll now continue on and make some matching upper armour, albeit at a less hectic pace. I still have a good yard of fake leather that I can use to make the scaled chest piece. I’ll also have to make a couple of shoulder pauldrons, though I’m not sure what to use for the hard shell yet.
