You don't really even matter to each other
So last Saturday (the 17th) I got out of work early and got my nails done. Then we got ready really quickly and headed to Sans Souci in Sea Cliff. We came in right in time for the stepping on the glass for good luck. I didn't even know that Matthew was Jewish. But that would explain the unbelievable amounts of fish and other Jewish foods at the buffet. I figured that since I didn't know anyone I could get really drunk and it wouldn't matter if I made a fool of myself. Turns out that Inessa's sister, Alla (my dad's best friend) came up from Washington D.C. for the wedding with her whole family. I remember visiting them when I was like eight and I played Age of Empires with her son, Yulik aka Julius, who was like seventeen. Good stuff.
So Alla wouldn't let me even be in a 5 foot radius of my mom and kept forcing me to talk to her son and all his cousins the whole time, which I honestly had no problem with. By the way, he's 26 now hah and extremely tall - like 6'5. Both him and I were supposed to sit at table 16. So I sat down and it was with a bunch of Andrew's friends (Inessa's son), so I didn't know anyone. So I started talking to these two guys next to me, Sean and Ben, who also didn't know anyone. Soon enough Yulik came over and asked me to sit with him at table 15 with all this cousins, so I left Seany boy and his friend for them. I probably should've gave him my phone number or something, because he was really nice - Mr. Stockbroker.
Yulik's sister, Alena, was there with her husband, Matthew, who we all called Machek. At one point Alena took the band's guitar and started playing some Russian song. She was sooo drunk, but we still love her. Also two of Yulik's cousins were there, Tanya and this other blond girl who's name I forgot, but she's mastering in Psychology lol. Tanya was there with this kid Sasha aka DJ Shurik in DC, lmao. The other girl was with her boyfriend, André, who was Korean. And I've never seen a Korean Russian before so that was exciting.
I ended up drinking way too many shots in front of Yulik's mother, because every time she'd come over I'd be downing those babies like no tomorrow. So I danced all night and definitely missed all the food that ever came out. I remember eating salad and then the next time I came back to the table, dessert was out. Except it wasn't even the cake, just some ice cream filled blintzes.
Somehow Machek convinced my mom to let me go clubbing with them in Brooklyn haha. So Yulik came home with me while I changed and then the rest of them picked me up at my house. I definitely slipped on the ice and fell on my face like three times. Drunken girls in heels are kinda like that. By the time we got to their apartment in Brooklyn, the rest of the girls already passed out. So we came in and they all went to sleep while I stayed up with all the boys drinking tea and this yummy honey alcohol stuff. Brandon called me at like 3:30 am, and by the time I was done talking to him Machek and Yulik were blowing up mattresses for me and Yulik to sleep on.
So me and him ended up sleeping on Machek's and Alena's bedroom floor. Although I wouldn't call it sleeping, since we hardly slept. Haaahhhh - super happy fun times. I'll have to admit that 26 years old is the oldest I've gone to date. Still within my age limit I suppose. And it wasn't because I was totally wasted cuz when we woke up we continued lmao, so that's cool.
So we got up, showered, ate, and drank a lot more tea. Aw, and Alena's and Machek's son is the cutest kid ever. Then everyone gave their cameras to Machek to upload onto his computer and we looked at everyone's pictures. Yulik promised to send me some, but he hasn't yet. Then they drove me home around 3pm. I invited Natalia to come over, but she's such a slow ass. The boys stayed over until 4:10 drinking tea with my mom and Raisa, and invited me to go to a sauna at some guy's house, by the name of Monster. So Natalia came at exactly 4:20 so she forced me to say no, but I somehow conviced Yulik to stay an extra day. Me and Natalia ended up going to Friday's and then wasting our lives away like usually. But hah yea, Saturday night was fun.
I don't know why I was already so happy.
