PSP8 TUTORIAL 02 >> The Trio.
BEFORE & AFTER:
Okay, I'm gonna present this tutorial to you all, asuming you already know the basics. [Basics as in how to set layer properties and where to go to adjust the brightness/contrasts and things of that nature.]
Start out with your base. I'll be using this one:
First sharpen it twice. Then duplicate it, set the saturation to -40, and set it to screen. Merge all layers. The icon should now look like this:
Now time for gradients.
set it to softlight at 75% opacity.
[made by crumblingwalls] set it to color legacy at 36% opacity.
set it to overlay at 100% opacity.
merge all layers.
You should now have this:
Duplicate the icon twice and set them both to soft light. The copy and paste this texture [made by dorky_duck and set it to screen.
Then pull the screen layer down so it's below the softlight ones. You should now have this:
Copy and paste this light texture [originally made by _cooler but I cut some off and set it to grayscale] on top of everything else and set it to screen.
The copy and paste this light texture [made by teh_indy but again I modified it.] ontop of the icon and set it to screen as well:
You should finally have this:
