5 years....
5 years, thats what I tell myself. 5 years and I'm outta this corporate rat race for good. By 2013 I hope to be finished with school, finished biding my time with this job, have that piece of property down in Miami and be fully vested in my own or my moms business. I do not wish to spend 20+ years of my life making someone else rich, I'm sorry. I can't do it.
My mom and stepfather are looking to open an internet cafe in the storefront so they're doing research on that. Mom is pricing her photography equipment so she can get back to doing that and I'm dying to help her with the desktop publishing part of her work. She used to do business cards and calendars for beauty salons but my stepfather was bringing her too much business so she had to stop. Anyone who's lived in Bklyn knows there are like 5 beauty spots on one block alone. Especially in Flatbush and Crown Heights. She was bringin in crazy money, it aint even make no sense how much business she was getting. I was only 13 then but she had me working and now that I'm lookin to go back to doing my graphics I cant wait for her to start back up again. My aunt wants me to do a website for her job. Actually, she told me they had asked someone else to do it but they were takin too long so she wanted me to do a mock up to show her boss so I can get the job. I'm a lil rusty but trust, when there is money involved that helps the learning curve, nah mean? LOL speaking of which, does anyone know where I can get an uncracked Adobe Creative Suite? Just plain ol Adobe Photoshop would work for now too, I'm not picky.
