(no subject)
I'm working today. this could be a big update, let's see how it goes.
I moved into allston this weekend. I'm not really actually moved in yet, because i have no bed (except an air bed) and only a closet to put my clothes in. My room consists of full boxes, trash bags, some bugs because i have no screens on my windows, a desk, a bookshelf and a chair. I can't wait to have it all set up. I've got big plans for it!
The rest of our apartment is a work in progress. The living room was painted yesterday and it looks way better than it did when we moved in. I'm painting my room "Aqua smoke." its a greyish aqua...its sweet. elissa's room is mint fizz, i like her paint name more than mine, it sounds delicious
i have band practice tonight, which i'm looking forward to. But I'm not looking forward to the fact that i have to blow up my air mattress when i get home so i can go to sleep and come to work tomorrow and probably work until 10.
i shouldn't complain TOO much, because i work a little shorter of a day today and then get to take off a day in replacement. It would be better if there was actually more to do and if i wasn't working with a curmudgeon all day. Also, most of my work is going to come in at 4:30 or 5. I let myself buy a macchiato as a treat for my good behavior.
yesterday was a family cookout and i played wiffle ball with all my little cousins for a solid hour and a half. They love changing rules half way through to suit themselves. While tagging out one of them at second i went flying into the deflated bouncy castle in front of my grandparents and aunts and uncles. Then when my little cousin was running to first her big dog decided to run too and took her out and she went flying in the air and cried about her tailbone.
why does hummus have to make my stomach feel so shitty? Why is my stomach so picky these days?
paper was a complete blast last week. It would have been more awesome had there been more people there, but i was in good company
I'm excited for the potential that my apartment has. I'm excited to have a bigger room, and a desk, and a bookshelf. I built my desk, chair, and bookshelf by the way. I'm pretty proud of myself.
i have to really start budgeting my money now, which i'm not a huge fan of. But ALSO that will hopefully push me to freelance more, and since i have a desk i can finally set up my wacom tablet and scanner!
i'm going to be here another 3.5 hours i bet. sucks
