1. Faith was called after Kendra died, who was called when Buffy died (at the end of season 1). So technically, if there would BE no Faith if it weren't for Buffy, b/c Kendra would never had died b/c there would be no Angelus b/c he would never had lost his soul b/c there was no Buffy to lose to soul to.
2. The Buffy bot fooled everyone, even before she died (yaaay Warren and Spike...). Take it w/ a grain of salt. The Council, also, had no association w/ Buffy since season 3.
3. Because that would create quite the hubub. And if they could do with the Buffy bot until they got their head straight, the better off they were. And then they WOULD have to figure out how to constantly save the world w/o a slayer (yaaay rouge Faith)
4. True, but it always happens on a hellmouth. Because of its connection with dark powers or hell or something.
And hey, at least they don't sparkle and aren't pretty boys. Or at least, less pretty boy. Did you read that Joss quote about Angel and Twilight? I'm pretty sure it was some effect like "Yeah, Angel would kick Edward's ass."
1. I'm saying that if Buffy had actually died the first time, like if Xander wasn't there to give her CPR, then Faith would be the only Slayer. It was okay that Faith was bad because Buffy was also alive, even though that technically shouldn't happen.
2. Buffy unquit in Season 5 when they needed the Council to give them information about Glory. She was kinda like "you guys need me more than I need you, so we're going to do this on my terms" but she made them start paying Giles again. They knew she "died" in Season 1 when I don't think that Buffy ever would have called it that, so they should have known then too.
3. I just think there had to have been a better solution, like telling the Council so they would kill Faith and a new Slayer would be called? Joss likes Faith too much, though.
