im back and im super happy!!! my vacation was super fun!!!!
i got back sunday.
on this past saturday was very sad....
my grandma's last wish was to have her ashes spread in the Yellow River- where she was baptised and played as a child. on the day of the Stokes Family Reunion.
So, on Saturday, after the reunion, the whole family headed out to the Yellow River, full of wonder for no one had ever done this before.
when everyone got situated-brothers, sisters, cousins, children, siblings, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren. My grandma's brother-Donald- said a few words that got everyone started. Then, my Aunt Donna read a poem of a mothers love.
The whole family recieved a flower.
Then, the three daughters and a neice walked to the middle of the river.
They would sing my grandmas favorite song to her for the last time.......
At songs end, the family said goodbye to Mary Nell Wilson for the last time as her ashes were spread.
Then, everyone threw their flowers into the river.- It was done...
It was beautiful. It was like she had done it before...
