I am very well aware that I have been MIA for quite sometimes, but now that school has finally finished for the semester I am updating my LJ. I'll briefly describe what has happened this semester, because GOD KNOWS this semester has been HELLSHIT for me. LIKE OMG.
November: I was freaking out and procrastinating and being huffy about school. Super late nights, not enough sleep, managing VAS, sitting on Artcite's BoD, getting slandered by students(ok, just one, it's inconsequential), getting slandered by FACULTY (NOT ok, and still tempted to go to the Dean), seeing my ever attentive, understanding, and wonderful boyfriend, Jonathan, finishing final projects, HATING art school, working @ work, starting Work Study (and apparently not getting paid wtf). Essentially, November was ROUGH. Though, I did do some great financial progress. My VISA debt is getting paid! Yay!
December to Current: Final projects and final classes! I pulled two all-nighters in a row, with, you guessed it, little sleep in between. Though Jonathan WAS my assistant for my printmaking assignment - it was awesome! We finished THREE EDITIONS that could have taken me 6-12 hours (chyea) and did it in 3 1/2 HOURS. WHAT! I'll be averaging a B, B+ for all of my classes. 5 studios, VAS, two jobs? I nearly killed myself, but I did it.
The VAS party was...amazing. I'm so happy that it went so damn well. Jeez. I dressed up as Cute Santa (was going to with the tradition of Dirty Santa, but, I didn't have enough accessories to Trannify the outfit) and handed out "Happy Sacks" which contained several condoms and 2 packs of lube to everyone in the club! Yay! Also there were prizes to be won, etc etc, I kept them in my Santa Sack. Then the next day at 8:30am I had to be the lab monitor @ LeBel again XD BUT
After that we went to Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan. It was so cold. Greenfield is this recreation of late 18th to early 20th century life. It was a little confusing. One point we're visiting the home of a famous freed slave, next we're in 1943 England talking to English soldiers. It was cool to see mostly 19th century interior design. Also, they have these awesome studios where they blow glass, printmake (lol the methods for intaglio haven't changed in 600 years), do ceramics, etc. The artist in me was so excited, but my body just kept screaming "YOU'RE COLD!!" It was fun, regardless.
I also have no money for christmas presents. Aw. Seriously, I didn't even know that christmas was so damn close. Ugh. Whatever. I'm only focused on GRADUATING ON TIME AND GETTING THE FUCK AWAY FROM THE UNIVERSITY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Now, I have a final painting to do, and I'm not that thrilled. I just want to do it and be done with the whole debacle. There is a lot more that I could write about, but, frankly, not in the mood anymore :(
I TOTALLY didn't even mention FOX-X, the film I'm working on (it's an ACTUAL FILM! WITH BIG BUDGETS, AND A BIG NAME STAR!) but I'll mention that in its own post later.
