this week end

i lost my cell phone. then i found it half an hour later - after surveying transit police, retracing my steps, making repeated payphone calls to my phone, then to malloreigh, then heading home and seeing a bus pull up to the crowded stop i'd boarded at when i headed out - wait! sprinting across broadway, and calling out a desperate "DID ANYONE HERE FIND A PHONE?!". some guy had it in his pocket, and he'd turned it off because it'd been ringing so much. i thought that bit was silly but holy impeccable timing. if i'd been there just fifteen seconds later i'd have missed him.

i lost my keys. then i found them half an hour later - in the dark, in the gravel, after retracing my bike ride, getting turned around, and meeting someone really lovely when i asked for directions.

went on a few bike rides! new, since the accident, and exhilerating, and my sedentary muscles are getting woken up hard.

spent time with an awesome new friend.

explored the open studios in the eastside culture crawl and saw some beautiful and inspiring things.

opened a new bank account and applied for a credit card.

went to dressew and bought sweet sewing supplies.

relearned to use a sewing machine and made a pouch for my headphones.

went to a housewarming party and left my bike (and new headphone pouch) behind.

powercleaned.

ate cupcakes.

drank wine.

drank beer on the skytrain.

watched a japanese movie with all kinds of blood spraying ninja fighting tempura fried missing limbs machine gun toting death avenging teenage girl action.

got hugs.

wore the same outfit four days straight.

found out that if you test my blood, i am all around healthy.

missed someone.

stayed up too late.

i can see that about now i need activity in my life.
