I had to work tonight and since business at the Ice Cream shoppe has been pretty shitty lately (because people don't fucking want Ice Cream in the winter) my boss only put 2 people on the 6-close shift. me and him. Well this Ice Cream Shoppe has 3 front windows and a drive thru and normally on what are considered "busy" seasons they staff 3 people to the front windows (2 for 2 of the window and one assistant or necessary who helps the other two or opens the third window if necessary) and at least 2 people to the drive thru. Well since this is a "slow" season it was just me and him. Well he should have put into consideration that the weather has been above average AMAZING lately and it is a fucking HOLIDAY today! So yeah we got slammed and I got put on drive thru all by myself while my boss worked the front windows (which on the "slow" season is one window). The thing about the drive thru is it is "speed of the window times two" meaning I have to work twice of fast. Well I worked 11 cars to my bosses 2 parties in 1 of the slam hours and being that I was assigned the closing shift I am in charge of all the cleaning while my boss does the money work and shit. We were supposed to close at 9 ... we closed at 10.
I only make $5.40 an hour.
