(no subject)
the last week has been totally fucked up, but unreasonably fun. I still don't have the internet, so I'm sitting here in Kelly library updating my livejournal. I was supposed to meet up with this guy York to go to the U of T bookstore but I couldn't find him after dinner... whatever.
So much has been going on... I've been a busy guy. My politics class has 800 people in it, which is huge. if anyone cares, they can check it out... http://pol108.net. It's a cool enough class. Ive also had Approaches to Modern East Asian History, which is like 200 people. but it's good because I don't have to buy a textbook, just some photocopy material from some copy place on bloor. It's also a mix between my history class and some second year east asian studies class. Needless to say, i'm one of about 5 white people in that class. Not that it matters. And I've been to my ECO100 economics class, and I know a few people in that class. Including Stuart Wright... go figure. But I get friday off now, apparantly friday economics classes are only for tests and makeup classes.
Also, fuck surprise tutorials. every single class Ive been to has given me a surprise mandatory tutorial. Now I have 6 hours (at least) of class on wednesdays.
This weekend has been crazy, chilling with all sorts of new people. Me and a couple guys went down to this pot rally on sunday, which had a turnout of like 10 people. It was kind of funny looking at like 10 stoned ass people listening to this DJ spinning disks. But this old dude got us some pot cookies and gave us some hits of the best bud I've ever smoked in my life... we were high from 2:30 until 7:30 just from the one session.
It seems like everyone's braindead today anyways tho, because they're sick or whatever. Todays been a decent day tho... Didn't get out of bed till like 10:30 because i was feeling like shit, then went and had a shower. seconds after I got dressed maggie busted in and we sketched and chatted (and tried to skateboard) for like an hour while pat was at class, then we both had to get to class so whatever. Went to class, then came back to chill with angelica and pat for a while. more class, then met up with Pavlo, Pat, Maggie, York, and some other guy while we tried to convince the rogers dude to give us internet today. See, we thought we were gonna get the internet today but apparantly it's scheduled for next monday. fuck that.
Wow, ok, I guess that's it. lol. I guess all I really have to say is the people here rule hard. Not that I don't miss everyone at home, because I really really do, but I've met some seriously great people here that I've had some amazingly in depth discussions with. And you can't do that with everyone.
I miss everyone at home so much, but I'm coming to visit on saturday... stay tuned!
