She sits and she waits
Drinking in the scene.
Dusk is approaching,
The water is serene.

A young duckling
Is seen near the shore.
Another swims out,
Then flies off to explore.

Three men are fishing
From the old to the young.
An elderly couple docks;
For tonight, they are done.

And through it all,
She sits-
As the sun slowly diminishes.
Because of this,
She sits-
And watches while it finishes.
