so, i'm reading this jstor article titled "Slave Morality, Socrates, and the Bushmen: A reading of the First Essay of On the Genealogy of Morals" for this 10 page research paper on Nietzsche's slave morality as the origins of christianity.
Anyways...in the article the author quotes one Richard Rorty as calling the pre-history masters of morality, "narcissistic and inarticulate hunks of Bronze Age beefcake." muahahhahaha. that's the sassiest thing i've heard all day.
last night, max treated me to thai food in little rock and then we went and saw No Country for Old Men. I liked it a lot. Max did not like it. Honestly, she doesn't like anything remotely postmodern in art if she's not being ironic. Boy, i think the future holds a lot of disappointment for her on that point. But that's okay. I nearly made her pee her pantalones in the restaurant from laughing too hard and it's always nice to remember that you can do that to people.

so, memphis kids, let's get the ball rolling on your coming to see me sometime over break. I offer you free lodgings and a few delicious home cooked meals. i'll show you around conway and little rock, but really, there's not much to see. really.
