Fred and George came walking into the house muttering and then realized everyone seemed to still be huddled around that girl.  They directed their attention to Ron who had a look on his face that told the twins he had some sort idea on what was ( Read more... )

In the other room, Molly continued to make Sam take bites of the sandwich and drink some water.

Molly made a tisk and looked to Arthur. "Where is Joey? It should not take this long to get a room ready!" she said looking yet again disappointed at Joey.

Arthur simply shrugged knowing it wise not to say a word when Molly was fustrated.

Molly was getting quite fed up with Sam's poor attitude and Joey's lack of parenting.

She said in a steady but stern tone "Samantha, when you are an adult, and Joey is no longer a guardian, then you can decide for yourself if you need a hospital. At the moment, you have shown that you are not old enough to make that decision."

Molly avoided using the term immature as not to add to the tension. Arthur watch the two girls, suddenly desiring to hold his Ginny. He could not fathom dealing with a girl like this every day.

Molly nodded. The was the first smart thing she heard her say in quite some time. She handed Sam the sandwich again. "Take another bite dear."

Arthur leaned into Molly's ear and very lightly whispered so that no one else could hear him. "You don;t think he dropped her off and just..." he made a motion with his thumb as if to mean he ran off.

Molly wanted to shake her head no, but her heart would not allow it, there was the chance Joey ran from responsibility yet again, hoping the Weasleys would take care of it. She whispered quietly back to her husband "Let give him a few more minutes love"

Hermione had stood back quietly while the Burrow errupted. She'd watched Ginny slip out during the ruckus and was attempting to monitor the situation to see whether her friend would be missed. She wasn't sure exactly why she had agreed to help Draco and Ginny with their rendevuous, except that she doubted she could stop them. Therefore she prefered they sneak around properly.

She had been distracted by the twins and Ron passing through the drama in the kitchen (where she hovered, wanting to help, but knowing she was out of her depth). Things seemed to be settling, so she did a mental accounting and realized she had lost track of Charlie and Professor Andrews outside. Swallowing down a sudden lump in her throat, she inched her way toward a window with a view of the broomshed.

As it was hard to see clearly she scowled trying to make out the shadows, and whether that was actually movement she saw or a trick of the light.

Molly looked around and only saw Hermione out of the corner of her eye.

"Hermione sweetie. Could you do me a favor and tell Ginny to grab her old pillow and blanket out of the corner closet? Thank you love" she said beaming the old Weasley smile.

Hermione jumped slightly at the sound of Mrs. Weasleys voice, and after a second of indecision, hurried upstairs She had stayed in Ginny's room enough nights that she had a fair idea where that pillow and blanket might be.

Hermione returned a few minutes later pillow and blanket in hand and presented them to Mrs. Weasley.

Arthur grabbed the blanket and pillow from Hermione silently but with his usual genuine smile.

"Best go off and see what Ronald is doing. Probably getting himself into trouble no doubt." he winked at her and turned back to Molly

"Right," Hermione said, glad for an excuse to leave the kitchen and that no one had asked her about Ginny. She quickly slipped out before anyone could and found Ron in the next room.
