A man wearing sunglasses and a hat pulled low, as well as a scarf covering the lower half of his face walked into the Hogs Head. His eyes darted around quickly to make sure there were no one to listen in and ruin the carefully constructed lie to protect his daughter and her life as much as his ass.
He sat next to Charlie and said in an undertone, "You Charlie?"
"Yeah," Charlie said quietly, "Alright, then, follow me. We've got a nice quiet back room."
Without another word, he turned towards the back of the bar, and lead the way through the door to the back. The fact that his hands were shaking like a leaf would not be apparent to anyone who wasn't following him pretty closely.
"Shh! Even private rooms can have listening ears if you aren't careful. Mind if I make sure we aren't overheard?" Charlie said in a harsh whisper, as he pulled out his wand.
Charlie went all around the room as he warded it with every protective and muffling spell he knew, which were not that impressive, but enough to keep the casual listener at bay.
"Ok, we're as safe as I can make us. You're Sam's father," he said matter of factly, "You're a good Quidditch player. That's as much as I know about you. I'm nervous as all hell, especially since if you decide to turn me in, It's straight to Azkaban for me. I really like your daughter, but we've only been together a few weeks, and it's been a secret from everyone, and the more people who know, the more likely it is to get out..."
Joe was tempted to put Charlie's fear of him to use and tell him to stay the hell away from his daughter. However, he knew his daughter was headstrong and it would get back to her, and she would hate him and refuse to see him. So he smiled at the nervous man and said, "Take a deep breath. I won't turn you in unless you really piss Sammi and I off."
"Breaking her heart. But she had me promise that even if things ended badly, then I won't go to the authoroties, because the scandal would hurt her future. However, if things end badly or you hurt her or so much as make her cry, I can and will come after you."
Charlie sighed heavily, and sat on one of the chairs, clutching his head.
"That's a little unfair, but I can accept that. I can't guarantee I won't make her cry, or that things won't end badly. All I can say is I will do my best to make sure neither of those things happen. And please, don't threaten me. I'm petrified enough as it is."
Joe sat next to him, and said, "I doubt that even if you did reduce her to tears or things ended badly that Sammi would tell me. She is... secretive when it comes to talking to me about boys."
"No, you don't. I don't see why you two don't go your seperate ways, with people your own age. It will not be easy for either one of you. But if this is what makes my daughter happy, then I'll support you two with it."
He sat next to Charlie and said in an undertone, "You Charlie?"

"Maybe. Depends whose asking," he said carefully.

"I'll do right by her, sir. I like her quite a lot, but, under the circumstances, I don't get to see or talk to her much."

He stopped himself, suddenly realizing what he had just said.
