Luna came running into the Great Hall.  She bypassed the Ravenclaws and headed straight for the Gryffindor table.  She looked up and down, searching for Ginny or Hermione.

Ginny nipped into the Great Hall, zooming straight to the Gryffindor table. She was hungry. And anxious to see Draco after an entire day... well, alright, hours, of not seeing him. She could have lived with it if she hadn't been FORBIDDEN to see him. The forbidden fruit tastes better, doesn't it?

Luna practically attacked Ginny when she spotted her, grabbing her arm and tugging her down to sit at an empty spot at the Gryffindor table beside her. "Theodore Nott is insane," she hissed in a fast undertone. "He pulled me aside this morning and went on about us being betrothed. He just couldn't get that I'm not interested and my father wouldn't do that. Only thing I can think of that would make him is if his crazy Death Eater father put the Imperius Curse on him, but I can't imagine why he would do that. And Dr-Blaise said he can't figure the thing out either. Cause Nott's supposed to have been engaged to someone for ages. But the whole thing doesn't make a lick of sense! And you do know he's here, don't you?"

Ginny winced as someone grabbed her arm. She turned to look at her attacker. Before she could get a word in edge-wise, Luna began ranting.

"Actually, I was wondering that too. But who do you mean by he?"

"Our mutual blonde friend," Luna said in a voice just loud enough for Ginny to hear. "I saw him using the mirror." Calmer now, she subtly indicated the Slytherin table with a glance.

Hermione walked into the Great Hall, rubbing sleep from her eyes. After she spotted Luna and Ginny she made her way over to them, grabbing an apple as she sat down across from the two.
"Good morning!" Hermione grinned to the girls before taking a bite of her apple

Luna was both relieved and disappointed by Hermione's interruption. "You were right about Nott," she told her. Luna quickly recounted the conversation she had had with Nott in the hall way.

((ooc: figured no need to go through it the slow way again.))

Ginny turned to look at Hermione. "Hey there." Ginny frowned at the singular apple and put a sandwhich on Hermione's plate. The girl always ate too little. There. Much better.

She helped fill in the blanks in Luna's story, but for most part let Luna be the one telling it.

"Morning Ginny! Morning Hermione!" Colin said as he took a seat by the girls. "Er...Luna, aren't you in Ravenclaw?"

Speaking of chicken, I've had enough, Ginny thought, pushing the plate away in favour of small square chocolate cakes.

Mmmm, chocolate. She made a small satisfied noise as her tongue was coated in the chocolate sauce the cake was topped with.

She looked at Colin slightly skeptical. "Changed your mind? So there's someone else then. Come on then Colin, do tell. We've barely had time for all these lovely pleasantries," she said with a light chuckle.

"Mmmm" she said, as she fed herself another piece. The elves only rarely served these, for whatever reason, so Ginny was determined to savor it.

Colin seemed reluctant to go on, but Ginny prodded, "Come on Colin, you've got to tell me about your love life so I don't feel so absymal about mine."

Okay, so not entirely true, but there was nothing she could do to help that.

Colin chuckled nervously. "Mum says I'm a little young to be worried about the love of my life. She reckons while you're in school you just oughta hang around people you have fun with, and life will sift you down to the right one eventually. And I dunno, she's usually right about things."

Throughout Colin and Ginny's conversation, Hermione would occasionally nod her head. But for the most part she kept to herself, finishing her apple and then reading some of the paper she had in front of her. When that got boring, she grabbed her sandwhich and barged into the conversation "Your mother is right, Colin. Your friends are far more important than your love life. Your studies, also. Those are important too." she told him before taking a bite of the sandwhich Ginny had placed on her plate earlier

"So what have you been up to, Hermione?" Colin asked in a friendly sort of way.
