((October 24th...after curfew....that's Friday if you've lost track))
Colin finished the last of his homework in his dorm room. He wasn't very tired, so he skipped down to the Gryffindor common room to see who else was awake.

He turned around as he heard someone by the dorm stairs, to quickly though. He let out a soft cry and massaged the neck muscle he had just pulled.
"Oy, Colin," he said.

"Not entirely sure," Dean answered. I'm still trying to figure out how my King got all the way over there." He pointed to a corner of the board by Seamus's foot.
"You seem almost as hyper as Shay here. Did you drink a Red Bull or something?"

So much had happened, just in Neville's small lifetime. Voldemort had been defeated, and brought back. He'd been alive for the end of the old war, and the start of the new one. And if Voldemort had made a different choice, it might have been Neville with a scar onhis forhead instead of Harry.
Lost in his own thoughts, Neville remained quiet, even though he was surrounded by some of his best mates. It was overwhelming.

"It doesn't work that way. I really wish it did. They are completely healthy and sane, but the curse of drinking unicorn blood is that their entire life will be cursed from that point forward, that they will live only a half life. I'm afraid it's no more specific than that, and once drunk, it can't be undone."

"Come on, Colin. Voldemort. Saying it isn't going to conjure him up. I prefer calling him Moldywarts myself, but this is an official interview."
Neville winked at Colin, and smiled broadly. It made him feel better knowing what a totally insane git Tom Riddle really was.
