After watching them last night, I started to wonder just how many of Ariel's songs the band had memorized. They consistently consulted the set-list, as if they played different songs each night. Keep in mind, Ariel Pink is a very prolific songwriter, with upwards of 8 or 9 full length albums, each holding 15-25 songs, and a variety of 7"s and EPs. It really baffles me to think about these guys acting, more or less, as a jukebox with a heart beat. Is it reasonable to assume that the band possibly know upwards of 200 Ariel Pink songs well enough to play on any given night?
Oh yeah and Vivian Girls were pretty good too.
