I have been sitting here for like 15 minutes going 'Why is the cat licking that box of stuff brought from mother's house?'

Mother opened the box to see why the crystal inside is so interesting. Turns out one of the things she used to buffer the crystal was a bag of catnip!!

Just about killed myself laughing.

So, for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, my cat, Fatty McFatFat, was in his carrier. And he had an accident. A horrible, very messy accident (Vicky's cats have one every time they need to be in the carrier). Earlier, my brother put the cat in a cardboard box on the bed (he didn't want to get the blankets all furry) and the cat is so contented in his box that I don't want to move him. But I want to go to sleep. If he weren't in a box I could curl up around where he's sleeping, but the box isn't at all cudly like the cat is, so I have to wake him to go ( Read more... )

I took the gift of 3 new icons as an opportunity to get some stargate icons, since when I was limited to 3 they were all of the kitty-boys. he's on 'roids! The vet said that steroids might reduce swelling in his liver, which would alleviate some of his jaundice and liver failure symptoms. Hopefully it will work well enough to keep him around until Naomi gets home from camp in 3 weeks, she'll be upset if she can't say goodbye properly. so, I'm pretty sure Pi is dying... He's got an appointment for tuesday with our old vet to find out for sure. He's a good vet, not too expensive, and he knows Pi's history (he amputated Pi's leg, and diagnosed the stupid paratonitis). So hopefully it will be something treatable, unrelated to the FIP, then all i'd have to worry about would be paying ( Read more... )
