(no subject)
So Barb called this morning. Somebody called in sick so she needed me to start at 1130 instead of 115. I opened concession and worked that right up until my new kids showed up for their orientation. All three of them. There were meant to be 6. Oh well. Do feel a bit badly for two of them though, the other trainee (some girl called Victoria) was very disruptive and kept dragging Barb and I off on tangents. I mean really, would not pay attention at all. Heckled the harassment video (made in like the early 90s, so cheesball), stole M&Ms meant to be rewards for good behaviour, ate half my lunch... am totally gonna get the managers to fire this girl; she sucks. (No, I'm not at all bitter she watched IT Crowd without me and has thus seen it more times... not at all)
But in all seriousness, this is super cool as I now work with all the super awesome people I know/ love who actually live in this country. All I need to do is figure out how to import some people and I could work with all my favourite people (we have at least 3 positions still to fill. Move to Canada and work for me peoples!) Though that might be going a bit to far in my unintentional takeover of work. My roommate and sister is probably quite enough of my brand of crazy for any one workplace. Think of the shenanigans!!
ps. after work we went to the mall for work pants and ended up with an ethernet cable as well, so we now have the internet on both computers at the same time. we can im eachother, but only from the same room as the laptop has no wireless. she can send a message to me on the floor from up on the couch! (or you know, we could be more practical and use it to talk to you guys at the same time. Or I could continue to use it as an improvement on tabbed browsing by surfing one thing with my left hand on the lappy and one thing with my right hand on the desktop, cause that isn't silly at all.)
