Wow, so I spent 2 nights on my dad's couch due to tiredness, laziness, and a day off work combining. My neck/back is very ++ displeased. Whatever. I was only in a sorta okish mood, but then Naomi showed up at my work (to drop off a resume, it'd be cool if they hired her, but I probably wouldn't really see her there either way) and kidnap me. She ( Read more... )

yeah, I brought 100 of the tutoring dough with me, but I was hoping to get a helmet as well and still bring some home with me. That didn't happen.

You had an embarrassing tripped-with-a-bike accident too? We are so psychically linked!

I've kind of been wanting to head out to the spit (to take pictures) since I read about the abundance of non-city wildlife out there (possums! who knew Toronto had possums! and coyotes!) But decided with my crappy lens I wouldn't get anything good anyway and would just be more depressed at my inability to buy a better (well longer, there's nothing wrong with the one I have) lens. But if others are going too there will probably be so much noise we'll never actually see an animal, so it could be fun.

edit ::If you show my Father your camera, and that you take good care of it (you've had it for such and such years, and other then the outside casing having one or two scratches I think, it's in really good condition), he might be willing to lend you his longer lens. Argh, strike that. Damn. But he did say something I do agree with though, but lol, you don't like editing in photoshop, but I can help you re-crop if you want, because your camera takes high enough quality photos that you could crop it down and get a decent picture out of a further away photo.

I haven't been out there, in, way too long. But it's so relaxing. I was thinking at some point of maybe heading over to the non-commercially areas of the Islands too (lol, did you read Eye Weekly this week?).

Eeee. Yeah, I was wondering if you had spent all $100. But good bikes is good bikes, and it'll totally pay for itself in due time. Did they take the rusted out frame off your hands then?

I'm not sure his lenses would be compatible, I think he's got a Nikkon.

I don't think I have ever actually been out there. I know I haven't been to the islands since a school trip in like 8th grade.

Well, maybe not pay for itself persay, because it's not really like I'm gonna toss my transit pass and start biking to work or anything. But I did have a fun ride round my block this morning. Never realized just how inclined my street is till I was speeding downhill toward Don Mills with no helmet, but the brakes are all new so they work great. After just once round the block my leg muscles were all "what's up?!" even though I rode from Bay to Pape last week with no probs, I guess cause Bloor is so flat. Anyway it's a pretty nice ride (though I might want a squishy gel seat at some point) and I've been wanting to tone up those parts of my legs which are not already freakishly muscled (have you seen my calves?!) so this should do the trick with a minimum of effort/pain.

Well, that was the other thing, if it was compatible.

It'll pay for itself in other ways though. Like, getting into better shape. And letting you do cool things like go out the spit. Plus once you move, you might be able to in the summer, not buy a pass every month and get tokens and then bike more often if you're within a reasonable distance to things.

lol - and my calves too? All muscle (like, what is all there, is all fairly toned muscle, not of it is flab. Now that I've kind of, gotten my stomach back to how I prefer it moreso (I still to have slightly stronger abs), I kind of want to try and tone up my thighs, which biking will help with.

I've never biked around on the islands, but it's pretty out there, so I think it'd be fun (:

Yeah, cause I actually have a nice average sized waist, but can't buy pants the right size for said waist due to giant ass/thighs, so all my pants are too big in the waist and fall down which is yaknow, bad.
I'm wearing shorts today to show off my awesome GIANT calves, but think I'm probably moreso showing off my GIANT calf bruises.

Maybe some belts that you actually wear are in order?

I have that mutlicoloured long skirt on today, because I was figuring I should maybe dress appropriate for tonight, because I is respectful and all my jeans were dirty so my options were shorter skirts or my version of 'shorts' (lol, that go to my knee, or below my knee, OMG I AM SO RACY).

Those gayboy!jeans I gave you fit pretty darn good though, maybe you should check out what size/brand those ones are?

They don't fall down cause they fit may ass/ thighs perfectly, but they are actually a couple inches too big in the waist these days (I may have lost a pound or two?) but they do fit well despite that, yes.

I think both of us need to accept that we're not going to easily ever find jeans that fit perfectly without the use of a tailor. I only own ONE pair that fits me perfectly, and I frelling ripped the shit out of one of the knees in the winter. BELTS. Belts should be our constant friends.

I want badly to go do this (too lazy to code it): http://torontozoo.com/specialevents/stingray.asp

and if I had the money I'd totally do this again in a heartbeat: http://torontozoo.com/CampsPrograms/PublicPrograms.asp?pb=9

and I'm not entirely sure how I ended up on the zoo's website in the first place, I only came online to download yesterday's BSG. I was gonna start the download, watch Bones from last week, then go to dad's for lunch even though Nom can't come due to strike.

The sites won't load at work, too much fancy. But if the Sting Ray thing isn't too expensive I'm totally up for that.

Because you've been ignoring all of us for two days by being at your Fathers? YOU CLEARLY HAVE TO MAKE UP FOR IT.

I'm listening to CBC Radio One. And apparently there might be validity to what your Mother did to make Naomi a girl. (ahahah, that sounds so awesome)
