The play today was totally amazing. Worth every minute of the 6 hours I spent waiting around to get tickets/seats. The performances from all three actors were phenomenal. Seriously incredible. If it weren't already totally sold out (except wednesday afternoon, a school group cancelled. I know this as I spent hours listening to the box office's side of many a telephone enquiry) I would be telling everyone I know to go see it.
If you live in Vancouver, it is going to be playing there shortly (feb 18-28) more info
here. It has a pay what you can day people, so there is no excuse (other than say, living in Australia) not to go.
If my mother can scrape together 15 for a ticket I will totally do this all over again next week. There is not likely to be another show quite this good that I can afford to see until Scorched comes back in June. I missed two runs of that one already, I will catch it in June if it kills me.
Also as we were leaving we said a quick hello to the lead actor to tell him how great he was. After he walked off, Naomi asks what else we know him from, Victoria and I remind her that he wrote A Quiet Place (the source of my current icon, and Naomi's "favourite play - ever!") poor girl spent like 2 minutes making fish faces/mouth gaping open in shock. He wrote A Quiet Place and she didn't even say hello :( Poor, poor child may never recover (at least when we saw Humans Anonymous I did manage to force her into saying hello to Kate Hewlett who is her next favourite playwrite).
