looking in on the good life
Yes, I went to a debate tournament today- out of town- via charter bus- with the debaters- all day. It was a sadly depressing bus ride, beginning at around 6:30 am. Well, i won't sit here and write all about the events off the day because quite frankly i know no one else wants to hear about it. Anywho--i find it incredible how you and loose yourself in music. You maybe put the ipod on shuffle, land on a great tune, and there you have it. Despite how terrible this experience today has been, i love car rides. However clich'ed it might sound, theres not a lot better than good music, while on the highway, looking out the window. it is the best feeling. so many thoughts pass through your mind--real thoughts--i realize that i have no idea who i am or who i want to be--it's horrifying.
i was thinking about it today, during my much time for thinking, and i discovered how incredible the world would be if you would put everything or anything on mute at anytime and just watch...maybe while wathcing with a certain tune playing--not other sounds interfering. everything seems so much more peaceful and surreal. it's amazing.
