I received this through e-mail:
"Engage Her" Documentary Screening and Q&A with Director Mable Yee

October 24, 2008 7pm to 9pm
Art Ark Gallery, 1035 S. 6th Street, San Jose, CA 95112

Free & Open to the Public!

In the 2004 election, 40% of African American women registered voters did not vote, 69% of Latina registered voters did not vote, and 70% of registered Asian American women did not vote.

What is causing registered minority women to not participate in our electoral process? What can we do about it? Join Asian Pacific American Leadership Institute (APALI), Generation Engage, Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley, South Bay First Thursdays, and Vision New America as they screen the documentary, "Engage Her" and have a lively discussion with director Mable Yee.

I hope everyone eligible here is registered to vote! Remember, election is November 4. In California, the last day to register is October 20. Here's voter registration information for all the other states. Let's bring these registered-but-didn't-vote percentages down. They make me sad. :(
