(no subject)
I'm baaaaaaack! Yea finally. Man I hate living in the dorms without have to use the internet for like a week! I know -- it's been a looong ass time. Well, no I'm back I'll update.
Monday:
Got to my dorm at Pomona College and I found Priscilla. We're the only ones sharing the same dorm because it was made for like 3 people before so yea. It has a bathroom and two rooms and a walk-in closet...pretty cool, eh? Yea, so I went to breakfast and then my T. A., Vivian toured us around Pomona College, so it was really cool. My group was just all the people from high school, Alfredo, Mariana, Priscilla, Irving, Ashley, and Treisi. Of course, it wasn't hard being around them because we all knew each other at school, so it was tight.
Tuesday:
Wasn't really used to being here like in a work sense and everything else sense. I've never been away from home, so I was kind of home sick already. I had a lot of homework to do. I expected to have free time but there's just no time to just sit back and relax. They're trying to set us up for our junior year and college, so yea, I had to get used to the work load...
Wednesday & Thursday:
Yep, I'm finally used to everything and it's a lot of work, but hanging out with my group was hella fun. So yea, it's not all that bad. There's snacks down at the lounge and I occasionally go down there to get some food. I got to know the T. A.'s (college students that basically go with us and help us with our homework and at the same time with you, have fun!) a little better and the R. A.'s (Residential Advisors - they supervise the dorms to make sure that we know all the rules and just make sure we're safe, no offense, but they're a little crazy in the head if you ask me). Lol, on Thursday was Mariana's birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARIANA!!!
And so all the T. A.'s and the R. A.'s planned a little meeting and got some cake and put some of those trick candles on. Lol, it was funny seeing Mariana trying to blow them out and then later Alfredo did a back flip several times for Mariana so that was pretty cool. Yep and the T. A.'s and R. A.'s were really weird, they turned on "Barbie Girl" and they all started dancing! It as so freakin' hilarious!! Hahah!!!
Friday:
It was finally Friday and you can tell that everyone wanted to go home! Haha, yep yep, so we got all our stuff today and we just relaxed because we just wanted to go home. We also have homework, which really sucks, but it's okay. Lol, yep yep so here I am! I also learned to meditate there because they heard from other students that the work load is really stressing them out, so the Professor Thomas (English professor) taught us to meditate to relieve our stress. It felt good and now I'm going to try it over the weekend.
I miss all you guys! And I just eProped a couple of my friends' xanga because I just wanted to catch up with you guys! Well, yea I'll talk to ya guys later!!!
