As I said in my last post, I'm going to try my hand at making cross-stitched video-game characters. I saw some great tutorials on how to do it sadly after I started this one, but I'm proud of how it's shaping up anyhow:
This is the original picture - just a small pixel that I made bigger and went over in Photoshop to make the outlines/colours clearer.
This is the outline which I just made by counting squares as I went. It took far too long, heh.
The full black outline.
And now with her baby-blues. I spent a long time comparing colours with Anchor threads but there's a handy guide which shows you the RGB colours in Photoshop compared to cross-stitch threads you can buy so that made it a whole lot easier. I wish I could get a programme that tells you what threads you need based on what colours the picture consists of, but those things cost money and... well.
Anyway, she's looking cute, I am approving. Next up I'm doing Kirby which will be hella-fun. =D
If all goes well I'm going to stitch it again but on plastic canvas and make a brooch, because I can't think of anything cooler than having Jigglypuff on your lapel. =)
