I always feel somewhat ashamed when I see an item of clothing I like on a "celebrity" and then I go out and find it and buy it. Well not really ashamed but just somewhat like I'm buying into and supporting a system that maybe I should have some regret over. But none the less this did not stop me from hounding the internet in a quest to find out ( Read more... )

Those are adorable!

In fact, I have the Pride and Prejudice tee in purple (althought I got mine via Modcloth)!

Oh do you! I thought that was was cute as well. So many t-shirts, so few days on which to wear them! If only cons were every week...

Modcloth gets them from Out of Print Clothing. So they are the same shirts.

It is very cute, and I like that it is super soft and lightweight (it's great for hot summer days). But a heads up for anyone thinking of ordering the women's tees, they are cut very curvy and with a deep v-neck. I am not shy about wearing shirts that show off the girls to advantage, but the neckline of this is deep enough that I have to be careful what bra I wear under it.

I haven't decided if I will pack it for worldcon or not. On one hand, it is a literature shirt in purple (con folk, myself including, do love purple, lol!). But on the other hand I am not sure about wearing it around any potential con creeper types.

Nice to hear its soft and lightweight. They did have that look to them in the pictures of people wearing them. Also I could tell from the pictures that the v-neck was not for me! Oh so modest as I am! But I ordered the men's shirt cut so I should be okay.

I'm going to bring the Wrinkle in Time one if I get it in time for the con. I'm so torn about what other shirts to bring. The temptation is to bring all GOT themed shirts but I have so many other book related shirts I never get to wear. So many t-shirts!

Btw I looked at the panel schedule and I think there is all of two panels I want to attend. I will have loads of free time to do yoga and model battle hats with you!

Yeah, I don't see a huge number of panels that interest me, either. Basically I want to get to GRRM's reading, maybe that thing he is doing with Howard Waldrop, the GOT panel with Rory McCann, and maybe something with Charlaine Harris. SO 2-4 at most.

But that is good because it leaves more time for being social and getting battle hat pictures!

I know a Charlaine Harris panel was one of the two I wanted to go to. So I will be there with you! The good news is none of the panels I want to go to are first thing in the morning. I missed all of them last year because they were too early for me to get up for!

When are you heading out there?

We can be panel buddies, for the 2 (or so) panels we actually attend. ;-) I saw Charlaine Harris at Boskone a year or two ago, and she was a lot fun, imho.

We arrive mid-day Wednesday and leave Tuesday morning.

SOON! SQUEE!

Panel Buddies wearing Battle Hats!!!

Okay I'm looking at the schedule and I want to go to "I Married a Werewolf" with Harris. Then the other panel I want to go to is "Urban Fantasy: Fairies Around Every Corner" which really Harris should be on but she is not. Seanan McGuire is and as I like her urban fantasy I guess that is okay.

I saw Harris on a couple of panels last year and I liked listening to her talk. She was interesting and funny. And I liked that she referred to her books as Rural Fantasy since that is what I always jokingly called them before hearing her say that.
