LOTR: 125 Aragorn icons
Here is a set of 100 Aragorn icons for _lotr100. Aragorn is one of my favorite characters from LOTR. I've been working on these for so long that it feels weird to be finished with them.

This is where I'll write out the text for the icons with smaller text or to explain my reasoning for the icon. If you can't read the text in an icon and I haven't posted it below, don't hesitate to ask. :)
01. "Friendship" - I see the relationship between Aragorn and Legolas as a purely friendship one.
02. "Not all who wander are lost"
03. "Greetings from the prancing pony"
09. "Why do you fear the shadow of the past" - It's a bit blurry with the tiny text behind it.
13. "Forbidden - You shall go no further" - This icon actually involved quite a few layers.
18. "Need shall drive him" - It's hard to see but Aragorn is leading his horse in the top picture.
20. "Where is the Grey Company"
21. "By another road" - I might remake this one later so it's not so washed out.
22. "If by life or death i can save you, i will. - Protection"
23. I call that my "ghosts" icon - not exactly sure why.
37. "I would have gone with you to the end"
39. "Bring Me To Life" - yes it's from the Evanescence song, but only because we did it for a lyric challenge at arwen_stills the week I made that icon... so I had the words in my head and it made more sense than "breath of life" since the icon wasn't horrizontal.
41. "Believe and you will find your way"
43. "Beyond them is more than memory - you have come to journey's end." - A quote from the book and from "Into the West".
44. "Aragorn's Coronation - Return of the King"
46. "Hope and Memory"
48. "Seven stars and seven stones - And one white tree - Use well the days"
52. "Not enough..." - Not enough time, not enough men, not enough..."
53. "One Step Closer" - Somewhat inspired by the song "One Step Closer" by U2, but the point is that he's one step closer to knowing where Merry and Pippin are.
54. "I have wished you joy"
55. "That will not be your fate - daughter of kings" - had to shorten it a little so it would fit on the icon.
57. "Not all who wander are lost" - again. I forgot that I had made the other one... I might redo this one so it's not so red sometime if it starts to bug me too much.
60. "nothing left"
63. "3 hunters"
72. "So much sorrow"
73. "Kind eyes" - I think he has kind eyes.
74. "Destiny"
75. "Not while we have strength left - not while we have strength left"
79. "Night changes many thoughts - night changes many thoughts"
80. "Fairytales" - It always reminds me of a fairytale anyway.
81. "Ranger" - I'm not sure it fits the scene, but it looks good.
82. "Of the white city"
84. "Watch it, Dude" - it's meant to be funny - or at least it made my brother and I laugh very hard when I was making it.
85. "The crownless again shall be king"
86. "Strider" - have to have a Strider icon!
87. "Return of the King" - I love how it made a cross shape. That's one of my favorite Aragorn scenes from TTT.
90. "What his right name is I've never heard: but he's known round her as Strider. - Strider" - I like to try to incorperate book quotes when I can. :)
92. "The world has changed forever"
95. "preparing for battle"
100. "Long long journey" - from the Enya song of the same name.
These are either variations or icons that I didn't like quite enough to count as part of the 100.

E014. "The King Returns - Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien. - Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' - Ambar-metta!" (Translation: Out of the Great Sea to Middle-earth I am come. - In this place will I abide, and my heirs, - Unto the ending of the world."
E016. "Seven stars and seven stones - And one white tree - Use well the days" - Just another version of #48.
E018. "With a sigh you turn away" - Decided not to use this one becuase it made me sound like too much of an Aragorn and Eowyn "shipper" - when I always prefer to go with what the book says in that "shipping" stuff.
E020. "Destiny" - Just another version of #74.
E021. "The crownless again shall be king" - Just another version of #85.
E022. "Open wide the doors and let the - let the light in" - just a little something I made up.
E025. "What his right name is I've never heard: but he's known round her as Strider. - Strider" - Just another version of #90.
