What happenned to my freshman year gang?

Jan 22, 2005 13:12

I miss being 14 and sitting on top of Emily's roof with her kitty bianca, eating undercooked mochi (with syrup!) and other odd food.

I miss having to walk to Tali's in the rain, chasing the cars of upperclassmen for rides.

I miss the smell of Tali's laundry room (never thought I'd fell that way).

I miss watching TV in Emily's living room on Broadmoor and fighting Zeya in a battle for movies instead of MarioCart. I never was good at video games, but I liked watching everyone fight over the controllers and whatnot.

Everything was fun, no matter how pathetic it was. Remember when we climbed up Latayna's hill in the dark and kept falling? We had to sneak through some yard and avoid deer. The whole journey was just to get a lighter... and when we got there, all she could give us was one of those electric stove lighters. I don't know why she had that in her room in the first place, but we took it gladly.

I miss those really dumb prank phone calls that we made at 2 am because we didn't have anything else to do...when Zeya would call people and pretend to be named Candy. She's amazing. I haven't laughed that hard in a while.

I miss Erin's monkey bars. I even miss feeling really dumb because I couldn't pogostick and she had a record of like 80 jumps.

Remember when Emily would get fed up with all of our antics and wander around in the dark while we sat in her house and ate her food. Eventually, we'd feel really bad and go looking for her. Damn.

I miss the goddamn secord corridor. What the fuck is up with the senior tree? I want our spot back.

I want to take the bus to the city and get lost...carry around a map and go on some crazy adventure to find one little crepe place.

My mom is still convinced that Zeya, Emily and Tali are my best friends, the best friends I am ever going to have. I wish that was true, but Zeya and Tali are gone. And in al honesty, we fell out of touch before they left, so I can't blame them. It's entirely my fault. We grew apart and I want to erase that. Maybe I should have just sacraficed my own interests and joined Comacad. I bet things would be different.

FROM HERE ON OUT, THIS JOURNAL IS FRIENDS ONLY. COMMENT IF YOU SO DESIRE. I'M NOT EXCLUSIVE, I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHO ACTUALLY READS THIS NONSENSE.
