An experimentation i did in my printmaking class, i've been collecting bird feathers from the streets. It's really common to find them here and yeh it may be dirty but they're still really pretty to me. Anyways i thought i might give it a try with the press machine and the outcome was mesmerizing! I love how it has taken all the details of the fine lines. We didn't expect such outcomes. Nick says it looks like a specimen with all that finger prints. I don't know if it will be useful tfor my final printmaking book but i'd love to see it somewhere in the pages.
Other than that, remember my coffee making class? Well i did went and it was awesome!! That day was the day i drank 3 cups of coffee and it was my first time too. Not loving or hating the taste but it's unusual and it's definitely not something i would drink so early in the morning. How can people do that?! Anyways the class was fantastic, David our instructor showed us how to use the machines and we had to make our own proper coffee like 3 times. It was a small group so everyone hd the chance to practice. Met two nice people who coincidentally are both from south africa but grew up here. It was funny, we started talking about that South African dance and how one of them asked this girl to dance with him and he started to do all the weird moves, freaking the girl out haha.
It was a really long class and i have learned how to make long black, short black, caffe latte , cappuccino, long, short macchiato and flat white. Geez for someone who knows nothing about coffee, this class taught me a LOT. We also got a certificate and yayy now i can put it in my resume (in hoping i can find a part time job). I still wanna do some more coffee class, i really love knowing the process so i might take it again in this "espresso school" that David has.
