It's pretty much confirmed that I'm going to be studying in Rome for all of next year. I found a sweet program that's not too too expensive, is year-long, has what looks like all the classes I need to graduate, and won't require me to go back home over winter break. Plus, I can still get in like 2 days of Folkfest before I leave. What could possibly be a better way to leave America?
I know that I'm going to take out an extra like $20,000 in loans to do this, but the experience, and job opportunities studying art in Rome will open up for me are going to be worth it.
The reality of it is finally hitting me. In August, I'll be packing up what I can fit of my life into 2 suitcases, leaving everyone I know, quitting my job, and moving to Rome. I bet the only thing that's as terrifying and exciting as this is childbirth.
