The legislation, and two other related bills passed unanimously Tuesday by the Senate that Bush is expected to sign, does not deal with the fate of tens of thousands of no-longer-wanted frozen human embryos stored around the country, which eventually could be discarded and destroyed.
Asked about the likely destruction of these embryos, White House spokesman Snow said: "That is a tragedy. But the president is not going to get on the slippery slope of taking something that is living and making it dead for the purpose of research."
I don't get him! So its ok to throw it away, but to gather useful information, just forget it.
Oh, and my email inbox has been full of facebook-ers writing on my wall. I can't check facebook from work but I am dying to know what you wrote :P
