I finished up my music in multimedia final and my philosophy final today. I'm pretty sure that I failed my philosophy final because I couldn't remember things for the multiple choice portion. For the second half, it was short essay portion where the assignment was to "Explain and compare Rand and Lee." Who are two different philosophers and since I didn't remember the philosophies of either one of them, I decided to write this instead:
Assuming that I read and listened to the discussions that we've had in class on Rand and Lee, my brain decided to hold to the philosophy that there is a large possibily that tomorrow may not exist and therefore decided to forget everything the second the test reached my desk. With that, if tomorrow ceases to exist, then my scorings on this final will maintain no value no matter how I score and if tomorrow decides to exist, then the scorings I receive, no matter how low, will not maintain much value in the grand scheme of life. For what happens now will fade into the past and, that, I cannot change. As William James (One of the philosophers we studied) states, I have the right to choose how my fate will turn out, and in this case my brain decided to choose that my fate may not exist tomorrow and with that, it chose not to have the ability to recall the philosophies of Rand and Lee.
The point of this class was to get us to think freely, and with my answer I can hope that you can see that I've begun to think. This class has been enlightening. Take care...if tomorrow still exists.
Well in any case, even if I failed it, it was still fun to write. :D
