It's Prom day.
Wow. It's weird to think that there are about 27 days left of my life that I will be considered a high school student. (this includes today and weekends.) I just looked back to the start of this journal of mine...My very first post on here was on Oct. 10th, 2004 at 5:32 PM. Here I am six years later, and now that I think of it, very different in a lot of ways, other ways, not as much. But whatever. I've grown up since 6th grade unlike some people may think. I know more of who I am and where I stand in life. I think this is a good thing. I'm sure on October 10th, 2004, I wasn't thinking about my future or even going to prom. Now? I'm going to prom later tonight and looking towards every new challenge and experience that is going to come my way in the next few months and years of my life. I have no idea what's ahead of me, but I'm excited for the ups, the downs, and everything in between. There's still a lot for me to learn, about the world, about life, about myself, but there's time. I'm still young and I will remain young at heart for as long as I can hold on to it, regardless of what people say. With all that has happened this week, I can only pray that prom and the last bit of high school I have left goes well and that the year ends well....
