Despite a lot of islanders having their sexes switched,
ITF training goes on as planned. Sansa does not deal at all well with
Eddara as a boy, but Robb is more practical about it, and anyway, it's just an island trick. There is a
Mardi Gras party to remind everyone that it is spring, this time, that is coming.
It does, in time, and Robb
takes Reynald fishing; Alain, Edmund, Arya, Sansa, Robin, Duo and Jon say hello. The ladies of House Stark take the children to play, even the wolves have their hands full, and
Uncle Robb is useful at least at distracting Rickon.
The island instigates some personality changes; it makes
Jeyne act out of character and
the two of them fight. That survived, he
helps Maladicta out of a coffin and
makes Sonya a cup of tea.
Reynald
continues being a happy baby, distracting his mother for a while from the
letters she found between her mother and Tywin Lannister. They agree that when Reynald is old enough, they'll tell him the story, in case he finds himself in Westeros and needs to know there are people not to trust.
Jon goes missing and
Robb and Grey Wind find him, injured, and help him home. Lyanna disappeas, leaving Ygraine in Guenever's care. Sansa
finds a book about them, but doesn't tell Robb about it. He and Susan
help Reynald play hopscotch with his cousins. Arya acquires
a gyrfalcon when Silence disappears. Later he comes on
Arya practising, just as she's distracted enough to hurt herself, and
Reynald gets the flu. Soon enough though,
Combeferre pronounces him well, and he's ready to
ride the toy Christmas train. And then another year has passed on the island.
