XD Well, because of L's awesomeness I really didn't want Raito to win, even though I agree with him, but well~ I lost my respect for him in the last chapters... u_u He was being just a crazy, stupid man who wants to rule the world. *shakes head*

I would have totally agreed with Light at age 14 or so. XDD (I had VERY similar ideas.. *coughs*), but now, although I did see where he was coming from, I didn't think he was right, but didn't totally hold it against him until the Raye Pember incident. That was it. L, or no L. XDD (and L hadn't properly appeared by then anyway). In the last chapters I saw it as Light's true character, the person that he'd become over the past years, displayed in front of everyone. He had no restraint left, and he truly WAS a crazy man, becoming all the time more insane...

XDDD It's easy to gain weight when you're abroad. Watch it! XDD

I wouldn't count revenge, and revenge is no excuse for anything in my opinion. Although it makes certain actions more understandable, it's far from excusable. Revenge is important to you? Um, okay... I can't see why. I mean, even if you side with it, it's also important???
I agree that rapists get off too easily, though.
