Yay! I cycled 20 km, roller bladed 30 km and ran (okay, jogged VERY slowly, but I was getting tired) 20 km!! Okay.. so it was a little less, but I like round numbers and I can't be sure anyway.. just that it took over 5 hours. XD
Next I should eat breakfast (or brunch actually since, it's already late).
I originally though I wouldn't roller blade more then half an hour, but well.. I didn't know how much fun it would be. ;) The last time I remember rollerblading was.. 8 years ago and my roller blades are even older than that.. I actually went to get them down from the attic. I didn't find the protective gear though, but whatever.. I never needed that stuff anyway and I don't wear any while cycling even though I go much faster. ;) Weeelll... I guess the first time is always nostalgic. I'll get fed up later, but then it will be winter and I'll have to trade it for skiing (gosh.. when was the last time I skied?).
I heard my 2nd cousin didn't finish the marathon yesterday. :( He fainted after 37 km. That really SUCKS. Because there's nothing you can do! NO amount of will power is going to wake you up when you're unconscious. I remember being scared that my legs would cramp (they did get jammed though) or I'd get a stomach ache or something awful…but thought that I MUST finish it no matter what. A broken leg or something is pretty much acceptable excuse to quit unless its like a few hundred metres or something, you might as well drag yourself to the finish line.. fainting however… it doesn't matter where it happens (but I'd be really pissed if the medics would drag me away if I only had a little left, instead of just letting me wake up by myself!)
My Dad said that my 2nd cousin expected me to run as well. ;) Awww.. well if he the unfortunate incident didn't devastate him too much, maybe next year. :)
I feel a little faint now as well.. but prob. because I haven’t eaten yet, and hardly slept because I just had to rewatch various parts from the NEWS DVD…. XD and of course this would be the day to choose for exerting myself
