Ugh… I think I’m feeling better now, but after more than a week being sick.. which followed right after 1,5 weeks being sick (so that would be two and a half weeks sick after subtracting the 2 days I was healthy), I’m feeling just a little wary. I’ll be trying to make an effort to actually eat healthily, but I don’t know when I could start

XDD Oh gosh.. I don't know. I mean... I don't like seeing them so depressed... so it's kind of depressing in that way. (Yay for things looking maybe just a little better. Well.. not really, but there's some more positivism with the team now..) Oh, you like Bayern as well? (I thought you didn't have a BuLi fave.. or you have now?)
Oh, poor Ingolstadt.. But at least not much is expected from them anyway? A win every once in a while would be great though.
Oh, I'd love for Mainz to win. :) But it's not going to happen and nobody is expecting it anyway (and they just loooooosssst.. :( ). Besides, with many players leaving they wouldn't stand a chance in the CL.. Not sure if a top 5 would be realistic either, but that's something I hope for. :) (Mainz in the EL. :) But even that's prob. too tough.)
Yeah... I think it was more of a "big clubs doing badly" comparison.. although Bayern still has some light ahead, Liverpool.. a lot less. And of course when it comes to the financial situation, they're miles apart...
(Buut: don't fret!! It will be especially awesome once Liverpool rises again!! It will happen... eventually!!)

Things do look better now, though I don’t really know what would have happened yesterday if Cluj wouldn’t have been so friendly to score two goals for Bayern ^^; but as a LFC supporter I know it could be worse…way worse…dreadful, painful, emotional abuse kind of situation >_<
Well yeah, I do like Bayern, even though growing up I was told to dislike them ^^; still they are kind of the closest thing to a first league home team I have and I’m Bavarian and I work in Munich and I like the team, of course, so I guess that’s a done deal now xD
I know~ but it would still be cool if Mainz could at least stay at the top of the table. The underdog conquering the big guys is just such a great illusion xD
Liverpool…yeah, not so much light there :( but abandoning ship is completely out of the question, and we got new owners now and at the moment it looks like Roy is basically trying to get fired with his shit decisions and when that happens then maaaaybe we’ll slowly crawl up the table (at least out of relegation >_< )

XDD I had to laugh. It's becoming a theme that other teams score for Bayern, since they can't do it themselves. (I guess that is.. a skill as well? ;) )
Ooh... *hugs*
I like that! :D (Also: we root for the same team! :) Although, I guess Liverpool is your number 1? :) ) Of course it's natural to root for a team from the home town or nearby (making going to games easier. :) ), but not really self-evident. :) Many clubs (especially the bigger ones) are so international….(and on a smaller scale: national. XD) :) (And I encountered Bayern hate in Munich, soo possibly 1860 fans.... XDD)
It would!!! I just... don't want to get my hopes up. (Finishing in the top half is already awesome. :) I was very proud of their 9th place last season. :) ) As much as I love Bayern, I don't mind if they don't win every single year(but getting into the CL is pretty important. :) ) and I think it's cool when a team that has never won the BuLi wins for the first time. :)
(or then just comes up from the 2nd league to win the first league. XDD)
And yeah, I love underdogs. :) (kind of ironic, considering the fact that my fave team is Bayern… and regardless, very BuLi team is and underdog against them. XDD)
Yup! The true fans/supporters stick with the club during bad times. :) *hugs*
(ship jumping sucks) and I love that you're one of those. :D (but I expected you to be anyway. :))
Oh, I'm sure you'll climb out of the relegation spot! I think at the moment, Liverpool can't really do much worse.. so it should be uphill from here!! This season won't be that great (considering normal expectations), but perhaps there will be a basis for another, much better season... and it will feel even more awesome then, because you've had to climb up from the rut.

Me too, I kind of couldn’t take it seriously xD it certainly is a special kind of skill they are exhibiting xD
Yeah, I bonded with LFC during the on and off pitch mess xD guess they are my number one in club football.
I don’t think it’s only the fact that Bayern is kind of the next door team. I guess it’s similar to the NT thing: there already is a certain kind of connection because you have the same background and I can’t really see myself rooting for someone else. It’s not really something one could explain anyway ^^;
It’s not just 1860 fans who don’t like Bayern. Many still kind of see them as the big club that buys all their talent. Also playing for Bayern mostly ensures a big pay check and people of course don’t like that either ^^;
It certainly makes a league more interesting if the table is a bit jumbled up. It’s not really fun if it’s always the same team that wins. So we’ll just root for little Mainz to conquer all xD
I’m actually taking a lot of shit from people for really watching football, so that’s another reason why I can’t just quit xD I also very much trust that they can do it, and they won on Sunday and now every LFC supporter is floating on a pink cloud hallucinating of a straight winning streak up the table xD

*nods* I actually choose my team(s) that way as well.. Munich=place my parents met (and got engaged). Mainz=first place in Germany (at that time still West Germany) that I visited(not that I remember). But well… Bayern was kind of the first team that I felt for..(during a time the internet wasn’t what it is today.. so it was through some recap on the radio.. or something.. can’t remember... and it was also tied to my desire to visit Munich. :)).. so what came first stays number one. *stubborn*
I don't follow the Finnish league all that much (I'd actually like to go to a few matches... but I DO need someone with me. XDD), but I'd be for my hometown club. I usually have some sort of a more "stable" reason to root for a team... Spurs is an exception. I actually watched them play first. XDD
You mean disliked in Munich (and around)??? Yeah... Bayern just currently happens to have the most home grown players out of any other BuLi team. XDD But yeah, I agree that Bayern does have a tendency of buying the top players from other clubs (thus "weakening their opponents".. or so the popular belief), and they def. are bigger and in a better position than the rest, so I understand that it can create a bit of resentment.
Still.. it's most jealousy. :) (Again, understandable)
XDD I know. :) I def. wish for the BuLi to grow stronger(or the other teams.. so they can seriously challenge Bayern, which in turn would be good for Bayern as well). :) Although.. to tell the truth, the league IS pretty even... somehow Bayern just manages to win at the end. XDD Of course it might have something to do with the fact that they're only team that declares every season that that they're aiming to win.. No other teams do that... not every year at least. XDD Currently, even Dortmund refuses to talk about that..
(On one hand I understand it.. but on the other hand it seems like only Bayern is trying to win every year no matter where they are in the table, so...)
I'm too much of a realist to believe in that. :) But I'd be so psyched about the Top 5... or little Mainz just somewhere there among all the big teams. :)
Anyway: Come on, Mainz! :)
Seriously, people give you crap for watching football?? Or just watching Liverpool?
Anyway... how about Liverpool beating freaking Chelsea??? XDD
Thanks for keeping the EPL interesting! :)

I figure most of the time it’s some kind of connection like you said, when you have some kind of memory attached to a place and then transferred to the team or because they are your home team or something like that…or just something really irrational. I guess the whole idea of how you come to support the team you support is something you can’t really pinpoint.
Jup, Munich and all around. Then again there are a lot of people in Munich who only moved here, so they would have grown up with other teams and thus rather support them. And well, Bavaria is not really the most popular place in this country either, so some people probably have kind of a general resentment. Bayern also have a huge amount of really vocal fans and that puts people off, too. Oh well, I don’t care what other people think, I like them and that’s what really counts after all :)
True, it’s a pretty even league, which is a good thing, makes it more interesting. I think Bayern kind of have to declare that they aim to win. It’s pretty much expected from them. The press would have a field day if they were being a bit more reluctant about their goals. They’d all be looking for what the mysterious problem would be xD
Yeah, it’s little digs here and there. I mean I get it, they don’t really mean it, they are just teasing, but it gets really annoying sometimes. It’s both, too, football in general and Liverpool. I don’t know what the problem is, but whatever.
Haha, you are most certainly welcome for that xD But omg, the second half was crazy scary! I was really looking at the clock every five seconds because I was scared Chelsea would decide to score after all! But they didn’t so yay Liverpool! :D
