NETHERLANDS!!!!! Seriously, I didn't expect that. The Netherlands have been one of the faves, but to beat the favourite. Wow. Although, honestly this was Brazil's game to lose. They were clearly in control at half time. Then there was the equaliser trough an own goal, the Dutch took the lead and Brazil seemed to fall apart. Receiving a red card for needlessly stomping on another player lying on the ground didn't help either. The Netherlands played pretty well, but not spectacularly and their win was mostly due to the failing of Brazil's otherwise very disciplined game. and hate for Robben. XDD They need to step it up for later games and I hope they do! This was a big win and will prob. give them A LOT of confidence. :) hopefully not TOO much
Anyway... if Germany loses tomorrow, I'll still have a team to root for. (But I want Argentina out!!)

I can't pick just one. :) There are quite a few so... I'll mention.. a few?

Taichi finds his courage (Digimon Adventure
That's when I realised how awesome this anime is. :)
It's a big part of his identity and after failing (and being stupid) so many times, he finally shows true courage.
Near's response to a raging lunatic (Death Note)
After Light's megalomaniac rant (how he's a god and blablah), Near retorts bluntly:
"No, you're just a murderer."
I obviously had read it in the manga before and did a (mental) fist pump when I hear the words I've been wanting to say since the beginning. XDD the whole situation and events before and after are quite epic, disturbing even as well. More so in the manga, but the anime is quite good as well.
The conclusion to Roy vs. Envy (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)
Something I've really, really wanted to happen doesn't, but the final the result is SO much more impressive. Not losing sight of what you are is victory. :)
Fuuko loses but as a winner (Flame of Recca)
Fuuko goes into "battle" with extra motivation to kick a murder's ass (as revenge for a little boy). She ends up losing the match but is alive and with her humanity intact, while the murderous bitch gets a taste of her own medicine (literally). Basically: she's the moral winner at life. :)
I might as well post this. It's a lot more epic if you know more about the characters and have followed the series from the beginning, though. :)
ECIT: Tuned in to check the extra time and OMG. Seriously. I was for Ghana during the penalty shoot out after that LAST situation. Seriously.
Either way, well done Ghana! You exceeded expectations by getting that far, and it sucks that you were SO close to making it further.
