investing in my future

holy crap! it's been a buying frenzy for me the last two days:

1) i spent about $400 on set bags (one small one medium), special wallet (for when i'm buying for a show), hiking boots (blue suede cause i'm fancy like that), gortex rain pants and gortex rain jacket (both in boring utilitarian black). Mountain Equipment Coop loves me...

2) a few weeks ago the head of our program got an email from a woman that is retiring from the industry (she has cancer) asking if anyone would be interested in purchasing her set kit (including fake blood, breakdown materials and onset tools). it only cost me $80 but considering the schmutz and schmere alone and pounce bags (filled with dust) are worth at least double that amount i think i did fairly well. after looking at the blood she has in the kit i don't think i'll be able to use any of it since it isn't clearly labeled what is what. *sigh* still... a good score on my part.

3) i just got back from superstore (aka stupidstore) where i got myself various rubbermaid containers, towels and other miscellaneous kit supplies. yup... another $100 gone.

i guess i have to consider all this stuff an investment. if i didn't i'd be crying right about now...
