New York
i finally decided to sit down and talk about my trip so far at New York. it prob wont make any since at all but here i go................................
23rd
we left for orlando. it was an otay ride. i rode with my dad in the cooper while the rest of the gang went in the mustang (wow that makes us sound so rich that we have those cars...but we aren't at all [we just have connections) it was a decent ride. i just listened to my cds the whole way. 3 hrs later we were at my cousin's house. we havent seen them in a while, and boy are they CRAZY! but in a good way of course. they are all very young kids who run around in there underwear. it was a good time....i love being with family. we had to wake up really early the next day for our flight.
24th
I love flying. when i am on the plane all these emotions come to me. i love the view up there. i sat by daniel and we watched Pirates of the Carribean. an old guy a row back was leanig forward so he could watch the movie too, but when i would look at him he would put up his book so it looked like he wasn't watching. The plane ride was pretty smooth until we started to get near New York because it was very windy and it was raining there. Daniel was alseep by now, so he had no clue what was happening. when we landed it was very bumpy and daniel woke up suddenly with the most fearful look in his eyes and face. "K-LA are we gonna crash!?" i was laughing cause his face was a kodak moment. "no bud we are just landing"
We were finally in N.Y. we went outside to catch a cab, but they wouldn't let us on cause we are "too big! no take! no take! no! too big!" so we had to call my grandma to tell her to call a car service for us. it finally came and it was a small car...but he took us. my mom kelsey kassidy daniel and me sat in the back whle my father sat in the front. our driver was Spanish. i could catch a few things he said,so on the way to my grandma Nancy house i had to listen to the driver and my dad talk in spanish. i then began to wonder what do spanish people hear when we talk. i want to be able to see how it sounds if i couldn't speak english. we finally are at my grandma Nancy's house!! i feel at home when i step foot on the wooden floor of the house. Grandma Nancy had the biggest smile on her face. "sit down, sit down. the food is ready" she had made baked ziti for us and made our plates. after dinner we sat around and talked for about a hour. we always do this. we talked about many things, but our number one topic was Adam (my cousin who is living w/ my grandam nacy) how my grandma Nacy loves him and how he is such a good kid. she told us many funny stories about him. Then my Uncle Anthony arrived. (he is a retired police officer. he is Built like crazy. he hasn't gotten married yet, but i know soon he will get married to Lori.) we then started to plan out our whole weekend. at 12 we got to open one present. we have never done this before so we were all excited. we all open our present from Uncle Anthony. Me: NY Liberty's (wnba) Jersey. Kelsey: a cd player. Daniel: a scienst kit. Kassidy: secret agent barbie that came with glasses...but not ordinary glasses; ones that if you look in the corner you can see things behind you!! we stayed up for a while longer then we all headed to bed.
25th
we slept in for a long time!! when we woke up my Grandma Nancy made us ALL take a shower before we could do anything else. Christmas was different this year. we didnt wake up to presents under the tree. We didn't open presents until late. i would type all the stuff that we got but im too lazy so BOO YAH! after we opened our gifts we left for my uncle's house. we took the subway.(i have to tell you this before i finish this story my grandma Nancy loves to walk. and she is 72!) well back to the story we dont know when to get off the subway so Grandma Nancy is leading the way and we are just following like baby ducks after the momma duck. we get off and she says "oh it is only a block away that we have to walk" we start walking...and kept walking.....It turned out that it was about 5 blocks to his house! so we were all freezing and tired by the time we got there. then we were off again to the city to see the tree and Rockefeller Plaza.it was a beautiful site. we watched people skate and fall. we were gonna skate but the line was huge!!! about a 3 hour or more wait! after that we staretd to walk to Macy's. i asked my mom what so important about macy's? "you go there to look through the window" as we got closer there is a line! "People are standing in lines to see windows!" my grandma Nancy then play hits me on my shoulder. i just started to laugh. When we were standing in line, we saw a homeless person asking for money. He would make a noise like a horse and stick his teeth out. Kassidy got scared. we then stopped to eat at a pizza place....i think it was called Sbarro. we ate in the basement which is really weird cause you dont think it is a basement.it was fun...... then we returned home and started to play uno attack. It was the kids against the uncle. i set the bet "if we win...." daniel interrupts, "we get ice cream!!" eww ice cream! HA! oh well.... we killed him! my uncle is very competitive, so we kept playing over and over till it was about 2 in the moring. then we all went our seperate ways and went to bed. Daniel and kelsey went over my uncles house to sleep.
26th
Daniel is really sick so him and my grandma Nancy sit this day out. We went on the subway again. When we were changing trains we saw a guy dancing Salsa with a dummy. It was really funny. Then we saw this guy that was painted silver acting like a robot. People were giving them money. On the other train this guy starting singing opera songs and after each song he would ask people to give him money. We went to the Wax Mueseum. when we started we went in a elevater and there was a guy looking out the elevator window. i knew he was real trying to act fake. he then jumped out trying to scare us, but no one jumped or anything. "WOW im impressed" it was Fun. it looked so real. i wished they had Johnny Depp. but it was really cool. we met The Rock, brad pitt, the osbourne's, shakira, the hulk, J-Lo, julia Roberts, Some prestidents, N'sync, the beetles, spice girls, MJ, blah blah blah so on so forth. we saw evryone okay! after that we ate out agin. i dunno what the name was. then we came home and stared up uno attack. we are all addicted to it.
27th
we went to see the lords of the rings 3. it was a great movie. this took up most of the day so after we got out we went next store to Circles. it was pretty good until my bud (daniel) threw up.
we played uno once again.
28th
MY B-DAY!! we went to church but only for sacrament. it was so weird. they only had six rows of those bench thingys. my grandma started to get lotion out of her bag to put on her hands but it was coming out then she started to roll it up to see if anything was in there. SQURIT went the lotion out of the bottle all over my grandma Nancy. we started to crack up. the missionaries were asked to talk today. they had 4. two elders and two sisters. i loved the sister. one was korean and the other was from mongolia. i wanted to squeeze her cheeks. on the last song of the program my dad broke the hymn book shelf. when we got home we just bummed around. my friend and my other grandparents called to wish me happy b-day. then we had dinner and in the middle of dinner my cousin Erin called. i stopped eating immediately and we talked forever more than i was suppose to, but it was fun cause she cheered me up. then we had cake and ice cream. everyone gave me money for my b-day which was quite the gift if you know what i mean. HA!
29th
we went to the aquarium this day but, kassidy, mom, dad, and grandma Nancy stayed and they went shopping. it was so fun! i've never seen that many HUGEMONGO fish in my life! but our favorite was the Walrus. they were huge and came right up to the window. they liked us, it seemed, cause they would follow us around. if was a fun trip. then we went to this 50's restaurant for lunch then came home played some uno then went out for dinner at 2005; a bar by my uncles.
30th
my grandma Nancy, my mom, and I went out to go get my hair color and to go to eckerds and also go to the bank. it was fun. i found shoes for $10! whoop whoop! when we got home, Lori was over which made me extra happy. she is so fun to hang out with. she drove us to the zoo. the zoo was empty. we had the whole thing to ourselves. we fed some anmials. and looked at every single animal.
31st
We went to the WTC site. It was crazy. Words can't describe how it was to see where the buildings used to be. I remember being in NY and seeing the buildings there one month before the attack. There were a lot of people there taking pictures. We took a cab ride into China Town after that. It was INSANE! There were so many people there. I got a boot-legged copy of The Cat in The Hat for $5! It was funny to watch the people that were selling this stuff. They aren't supposed to be selling it, so if they see a cop, they all cover up there stuff and run off. This one lady almost got hit by a car trying to run away from the cops. We went to Dylan's Candy Store. This place was huge. I have never seen so much candy in my life. After that, we went to another restaurant to eat. We ate pizza. It was good. When we got back home my Grandma Nancy had me a pair of Converse Hi-top sneakers!! They are red and blue. We decided to just hang out until the new year.
wow i just saw the ball drop! whoop whoop! HAPPY NEW YEARS!! we had our tost then i ran to the bathroim "im the first to pee in the year 2004!!" and i just cme back from getting my eyebrows waxs! it dosent hurt or bother me anymore. well i gonna go play some uno!!
