Let me tell you, I was not expecting Superbad to be one of the most entertaining movies I've seen in some time. I thought, 'Just another teen comedy, why should I care? What I didn't realize is that this movie recaptures so many of the themes of my youth. Drinking. The quest to acquire drink to make a killer party occur. The love/hate feeling of THE MONARCH and Dr. VENTURE that WE had with THE COPS. And HOW COOL it was to HOOK UP with someone new, beautiful, and gorgeous. FOR FUN. ¡JUST FOR FUN!
And I have to say, why is Michael Cera's character so resistant to the idea of getting laid...? Actually, I was the same the first time I was in that situation, I felt similarly, and blew it...similarly. It's a regret. Though she...just wanted it. No alcohol.
