what are your dreams:
Well like I said before, my dream is to have a career that revolves around the things that I'm passionate about, which are dogs. I would love to be a professional handler and breeder of Australian Shepherds, titling dogs in confirmation, agility and obedience. I think dogs are absolutely amazing creatures, and deserve more admiration and respect than most people I know. I want to live in a beautiful home big enough to accomidate me, Marcelo, and all of my animals, and be happily married, with or without children.

if you could take 1 person to dinner {dead or alive} & ask them 2 questions - who would you take & what would you ask?
I really, truly am not able to answer this question. I would never be able to pick just one person to speak with in that way.

who is your idol/role model and why?
It is a tie between my aunt and my grandma. My aunt was diagnosed with Multiple Sclorosis in 2000 and it has progessed to the point where she is no longer able to walk on her own. However, throughout her disease, she has retained incredible optimism - More than I have ever seen in any human being. She is such a strong person, and it's really a wake-up call for me to think about her situation whenever I stress about petty things.
My grandma is an equally strong, if not stronger, woman. She was raised in a very large family and remains close with all of her siblings even though they're so far apart. She's suffered an incredible amount of loss in her life - The death of her husband and son (my dad), and now more recently my aunt getting MS. After my dad died she moved in with my mom, me and my little sister to help raise us, and now she is living with my aunt helping her with things. I have never seen this woman be sick, because she tells herself she doesn't have time to be sick. She is incredibly devout woman, unnecessarily humble, and always always giving. I have infinite respect and awe for her, and it's a damn shame there aren't more people in the world like her.

you must choose between your best friend and your boy/girlfriend - who do you choose?
I'm incredibly lucky in this situation, because my boyfriend is my best friend. I feel closer to and safer with Marcelo than I ever have with anyone in my whole life, and I can't imagine sharing as much about myself as I have with anyone BUT my best friend - He just so happens to also be my boyfriend :o)

what makes someone beautiful in your opinion?
Being a real person. Knowing who they are, and not trying to hide it or bullshit anyone regarding it. Sincerity, maturity, and acceptance is beautiful to me.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
what does it take to make a relationship work?
Communication, trust, committment and love. Humor is also a good thing, to take the edge off when things get tough, as they inevitably do.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
what is your view on young marriages?
I think that young marriages, as long as they are well-thought out and taken very seriously, are wonderful things. My parents were married at age 19, and they had a very successful relationship. I don't think there is anything wrong with getting married young as long as a couple understands what they're getting into. Age is nothing but a number, to me - It's a matter of maturiry.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
what is your view on interracial relationships?
Relationships are wonderful. They're a great opportunity to get to experience closeness with another person, but more importantly, they help people to learn a lot about themselves.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
what is your opinion on teen pregnancy?
Wanted or unwanted teen pregnancy? I'll answer both. I think teen pregnancy is fine if the woman understands what may happen to her after the birth of the baby, such as time and money restrictions and the possibility (sometimes) of the father abandoning the situation. Unwanted teen pregnancies make me sad, because the cause for them, as far as I can see, is a lack of education that no one is doing enough about.

do you think once a cheater always a cheater?
No, not at all. I am proof of that.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
do you believe inner beauty reflects your outside appearance?
You know, ironically, Marcelo and I were talking about this today concerning members of our families who look their age (or older), and how these relatives seem to be "uglier" on the inside. I think that mental health is just as important, if not more important, than physical health, because if you are mentally and spiritually healthy, that will show in your outward appearance.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
what is your view on couples living together before getting married?
I think it varies from couple to couple. Speaking from experience, living with Marcelo for just over a year, I can say that it is definitely not an easy task. There is the "honeymoon stage" of living together, where it's like a perpetual sleepover, for a few weeks or months, but eventually reality does set in, and it can be extremely difficult. But I think that it is a great indicator of whether or not a marriage will be successful.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
what is your opinion on drug use, smoking & alcohol?
Ridiculous, ridiculous, and ridiculous. While I'm empathetic about it, I understand why people do it, I by no means agree with it or think it's the right thing to do. I think that people need to realize how dangerous all of these things are! No one seems to recognize the damage it does, or worse, they don't care. People can be so much stronger than these things....
