I'm back... at least for now.

Oh yeah, according to the previous entry I wrote, I mentioned that I got a job. In fact, I was so damn lucky that I got this job. I made a stupid mistake that could have ruined my summer holiday. The mistake that nearly cost me - was not sending out my resumes and cover letters to Oil & Gas companies during February/March; as it is usually the time of the year that they are hiring post-secondary students for the summer. I didn’t do it because I thought I was secured from my old job at True for this summer. As I emailed to my former co-worker like one month before school was finished, and I found out that everything has changed big time. My old boss just quitted around in mid-January, and this former co-worker was planning to quit as well. So everything just went ballistic. Fortunately, I was able to find another job, so now I’m working for a new company. I was really relieved because I’m very anxious to earn money... and most important of all, I was able to keep myself busy for the rest of summer!

Since May 2nd (when I first started my job), I have been busy going out with many friends of mine lately, mostly either on weekends or after work. Last weekend, I went to the CAD BBQ for a couple of hours. It was pretty nice catching up with my deaf friends. Last Friday, I met up with Jeff for lunch - we used to work together before. He had changed a lot. It’s kinda funny now because I know that he used to be a total jackass around the office; now he mentioned that he have a “decent” girlfriend right now who is like a “super-nanny” to him. Heh. I think there’s more than it, but he didn’t really spare the whole details. So many people I know want to make some fast-and-crazy plans for the summer. A friend of mine, Devon (a guy who taught me how to snowboard at C.O.P) is hoping to get together with a bunch of other people for some fun at Sylvan Lake after Canada’s day weekend. He’s very wild at most of the time, but he’s an interesting person to talk or hang out with.

Hey! It’s Summer time now! Get busy with whatever you need to do… but try not to overexert yourself too hard! It’s all about relaxation - just until another year of school starts in the fall (for most of us, anyway).

What are my plans for the next several weeks? I really don’t know yet. But for sure I know that I’ll be out of town for a few “mini” vacations. I’m heading to the tedious city of Edmonton to visit Nancy (who used to be my mentor when I was like 2 or 3), Banff for some family-get-together and a few of hiking trips around K-Country. Nonetheless, next year is going to be even better! I’m hoping travel east to Toronto, and I might head down south to California once again.

One last note: are there anyone who enjoys this ridiculous weather in Calgary? We even broke the precipitation record this year, and had a couple of bad floods in Southern Alberta. There’s only one positive outcome: Farmers do need the water for their soil. I even heard that Toronto is soaring in the high 20s but it felt more of like in the high 30s!

Alright, I'm feeling really beat. I'm going to make some drinks now. I just spent nearly 5 hours today doing some fix-up stuff around the house. This should keep y’all in the loop until the next time I update. Ciao!
