the future is now

Yes, don't get too excited: I'm leaving on Monday for three months in Africa, where I plan to write news stories, build water filters, stop disease and save the children. And that means I'll have to say good-bye to the trappings of civilization. I'm not going without a fight: I propose a day of the most ridiculous things the First World has invented!

Saturday, June 10th, tentative plan:
1:00 -- Meet at my house, walk down to Granville Island and rent Segways to run around Vancouver!
5:00 -- Dinner in pill form (still working on that one)
Late -- Fantacity Karaoke, like normal karaoke except way more 80s porn stars.

Some of these we have to order early, so please rsvp sooner rather than later (jtgwoodward(a)yahoo.ca). (Also, the cell phone had to go: my home phone is Seven-Three-One-Nine-Six-Zero-Five and call that instead.) All welcome but some of you have to come. See you soon!
