Hello Global Warming.
For anyone not living in the Washington DC area, it was a frosty 894 degrees outside today, which means that we are above average in temperature. The newsmen decided to don today a "Code Purple" and say that burn time was less than 5 minutes. 5 minutes? I feel bad for the old folks that have a long driveway- they're commin back with third degree burns. It hasn't rained in a while either. I'm hoping tomorrow will be a bit more cooler because I have some yard work I need to get done at the house.
Lotsa entertainment this past week. Saw DaVinci Code and X-Men 3. Went to Six Flags, and Fun Land. I'll recap.
DaVinci Code was alright. It felt like a long movie, but I like the whole premise. It's fun to mock the Catholic faith, honestly and what better way than having a monk run around and kill nuns ... in a church? Priceless.
X-Men was good. I liked it, in fact. Although I thought the storyline was going in too many places at one time. Shit, they had an entire character that was pointless. The guy who shoots lasers out of his eyes was in the movie for, oh, about 25 seconds. And that hot blue chick was in there for a whole 2 minutes. And the biggest flop, in my opinion, was the boy who had wings. WHAT THE HELL WAS HIS POINT? We saw him a few times. He charmed Halle into keeping the school open with a awkwardly precise moment of entry. And at the very end, he swooped in through the chaos to save his fuck-up of a father. Other than that- pointless! And who said this was the last movie? I heard today they already have X-Men 4 in production! It was the 4th highest opening weekend EVER. They'd be stupid to quit now.
Six Flags was alright. Cliff got something in his eye, and we only stayed for about 2 and a 1/2 hours. The park changed a bit for the good, in my opinion. Go Karts was awesome. Holly time is always nice.
